Tutorials give me a glimpse into how different designers exercise their unique design processes. Almost every project I work on begins with paper and pencil.

With that in mind, I wanted to show you how I go about taking my sketches to a finished product in six simple steps.

Spurred by recent developments at Google, Facebook, and fellow Vodorian Chris Michael's Foursquare activity (seriously dude, being the mayor of an incorrectly spelled comedy club is not something to be proud of), it became clear to me as a search engine marketer that an increased focus on geo-aware apps and services could mean serious shifts in the way we use searchable content to reach our target audiences. Only time will tell if the recent announcement of Facebook Places unleashes industry-wide plate tectonics of Pangean proportions, but at the very least it's valuable to explore how local your online marketing efforts might become. 

We'll be spending the next couple weeks shouting from Chicago's rooftops about all the new features of Pepper: our marketing platform built on Alfresco. Take a look at the webpage copy/paste feature we've brought to Pepper 2.0.

Mike Sullivan, the senior developer, engineered his way past a rogue's gallery of worthy opponents with Max Brown, intern wonder, at his side. Now it was time to do what was expected of him: finish the intern like just another line of code.

We're always improving Pepper for Alfresco: the Content Management System that utilizes in-context editing for an incredibly simple user interface. Through our client requests and in-house developer inventiveness, Pepper is nearly unrecognizable from the software we launched two years ago. It's faster, smoother, and sports a host of new features.
