Client says, “I have an idea for a project I’d like you to bid on. We’re looking to expand our use of Pepper to include Pepper Mobile for the iPad but we want to make some customizations to the interface.”

We say, “Sounds great. Can you tell me more about how you want that customization to connect back to your ERP system?”

And we’re off. You, along with other Vodorians would assist in the scoping, estimation, and execution of the client’s request. As a functional expert in Vodori’s services and products, you help ideate and flesh out the specifics of an initiative. As a technical analyst you help shape our solutions to fit business objectives, scope, and calendar considerations. As a client liaison, you provide trusted expertise on how best to move our clients’ businesses forward.

This is a client-facing role and thus excellent consulting skills and comfort with working with a variety of business and technical client personnel are a must. 

Responsibilities

  • Interpretation and synthesis of business objectives into digital solutions
  • Authoring detailed functional requirements and specifications that capture the specifics of all functional and non-functional program elements
  • Research and analyze solution alternatives across Vodori products and external tools
  • Prepare for and execute small group training sessions (“train the trainer”) on Vodori products and solutions
  • Consultative solution delivery working with multiple cross-functional Vodori and client teams
  • Continuous improvement of the Vodori project methodology, incorporating best practices for execution efficiency and solution effectiveness

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, business, or related field
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience and subject matter expertise in digital sales and marketing or similar systems environments
  • Experience with development methodologies (scrum, waterfall) and creation of relevant deliverables (use cases, activity diagrams, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Visio or similar diagramming tools
  • Experience with global corporate, division, product/brand, and intranet digital solution development particularly with enterprise content management systems
  • Experience in pharmaceutical/medical diagnostics a plus
  • Experience as a technical developer (Java, C#, etc.) a plus
  • Minimal travel required; most of your time will be spent in our Chicago offices
