Conferences are a great way for attendees to engage with your brand. If they engage via social media? Even better. So if you’re tired of standing behind a table of brochures and tchotchkes with a limited return on investment, here are five creative ways to up the ante on your next conference booth and maximize on your conference circuit.

1. Keep people busy with conference booth activities

Activities provide a natural way for attendees to engage with your brand.

At HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) 2019, attendees could stop by the American Medical Association booth to get creative with color.

2. Get artsy

Partnering with an artist can inspire conferences attendees — and even you — to see your brand in a new light.

LRS Output Management has been showing off ice sculptures across several conferences. At HIMSS 2018, they showed off a different sculpture each day.

3. Instead of giving out swag, give back

Connect your brand to a good cause and leave conference attendees with a positive impression.

Cardinal Health had attendees create blankets for Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Connection IT ended one conference with 500 bags to donate to local hospitals, where they were given to children receiving care.

Optum booth visitors biked in full business casual for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

4. Create a getaway

Make your booth an oasis that encourages attendees to stick around longer.

Salesforce’s outdoorsy theme harkened back to summer camp.

Howard Medical took a retro spin by making their booth a diner.

5. Let your branding shine

When you’ve spent time differentiating your brand via design, show off the design risks you’ve taken in your conference booth.

athenahealth brought their brand to life by highlighting the cute graphics they use on their website.
